Nicole Ari Parker was born in New York City. The actress is American stage and film actor. The most well-known role she has played is in the role of Teri an ardent attorney Teri Jospehson in the Showtime show Soul Food. Following her marriage, she is also known for her role as Nikki Kodjoe. Growing up living in Baltimore, Maryland, she was always intrigued by acting. At the Maryland high school competition at the beginning of her training, she was awarded the title for best actress. Alongside her involvement at the theater as well as with The Washington Ballet Company. She earned the degree of Acting at New York University. The Incredibly True Adventure of Two Girls in Love, her first role in a major film, earned her a lot of respect. It was followed by other films such as 'Boogie Nights Spark as well as Blue Streak. Contractor who was born in Mumbai, who lived in Nigeria since she was just seven years old. She was well-versed in different cultures around the world and was able to travel at such a young stage. From the age of seven to nine, the young lady attended boarding schools in London. The family later moved to Toronto where she lived for most of her childhood. Contractor was a successful academic at the University of Toronto Toronto while also training as a ballerina. She attended the Etobicoke School of the Arts, a specialized public arts high school where she did not only dance but also studied theatre. Contractor aged 16 at the time she realized that performing would be her career. She danced for over a decade. Following her graduation from high school Contractor was awarded a scholarship by The University of Toronto to pursue the dual field of psychology and sociology. In addition, she obtained a master's degree in Theater. Contractor was a participant in the highly acclaimed Stratford Shakespeare Festival in Ontario, Canada, for Pericles. After a full year of auditions, she was offered the role of lead. The play received rave reviews and her performances in the 92 shows performed the play was voted the production of the year by Canadian critics in 2002. Contractor accepted an invitation to attend Stratford's Conservatory program. The Conservatory has only 8 men and four females are admitted for the 20-week course in classical theater. Contractor received a guaranteed spot for the upcoming season of shows and eventually landed the part in the role of Hermia In A Midsummer Night's Dream.
